We’re adding a little healthy competition this year to the Bend Fall Festival. Got skills? Show ’em off! Check out the details below for the 2017 Bend Fall Festival Pie Baking Contest and the 2017 Bend Fall Festival Pumpkin Carving Competition.
May the best participant win!
Pie Baking Contest
Are you Bend’s Best Baker? PROVE IT! We are stoked to host the 2017 Pie Baking Contest, in partnership with the wonderful Annie Skelton and Farmhouse Pies.
Saturday, October 7 @ 1pm | Intersection of Wall and Minnesota
- Participants must bake the pies themselves and are encouraged to include a recipe for the judges. If the judging panel discovers the pie is not homemade, you will be disqualified immediately.
- If you bake a pie that has dairy (this includes condensed milk) please plan on bringing a cooler to keep your pie cool in prior to judging. This is required in order to abide by health codes. If you do not abide by this rule you will be disqualified immediately.
- You are encouraged to bake your pie in a disposable pie pan. If you choose not to do this, you cannot get your pie pan back until after the judging has finished and the contest has ended.
Fill out the registration form and email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Questions? Email Kirsten!
Pumpkin Carving Competition
The rules are simple. We will provide you with two pumpkins, and you will bring your own carving tools. You will then carve your pumpkin (competing with others that are carving, as well!) and submit at the end for judging and the chance at an awesome grand prize!
Send us an email to email@example.com to be entered and may the best carver win!
